Just Us At the Beach, 40x30

I set up for the sketch for this piece at Ft. Desoto right around the golden hour when the sun begins casting it's beautiful warm light everywhere. It astounds me that despite the fact that the Greater Tampa Bay area is home to 3+ million people, I can still come to this beach and be practically alone. Florida is a lot of things, but this is one of the best kept secrets on the gulf coast. Serene and wild at the same time. 

This painting is 40x30 inches, oil on canvas stretched on 1.5" stretcher bars.
