Speed Tests

Speed Tests

Enjoying some speed painting sessions in the studio lately. For this one I set the timer for 30 mins (and then snoozed a few times ) but this is one of the best ways (and my favorite) I know to get “unstuck” and loosen up the process. It also makes me feel SUPER productive when I complete more than one painting in a day! ;)

Additional Notes:

- Most Challenging aspect of this painting experience: keeping my lines straight
- Biggest surprise about this painting experience: how quickly a painting can come together if you let go and throw the color on as quickly as possible
- Favorite part of this painting or the experience: the satisfaction of seeing a painting come together so quickly
- Something I learned from this painting experience: staying loose is important, and speed sessions help loosen the process so the marks I leave have more expression and flavor and feeling
