I work with clients to create original paintings specifically for their homes. Each commission considers the architecture, surroundings and scale of the space, as well as the experiences, places and ideas the client wants the artwork to reflect. From a single painting to a collection developed across several rooms, I guide each project from initial concept through framing and professional installation.

The Commission Process

  • 1. Discovery

    We begin with your home, the space you're considering, and what you're drawn to.

  • 2 .Concept Development

    Composition, palette and scale are developed before the full-size painting begins.

  • 3. Creation

    Your painting is created in my studio, informed by the approved concept and our conversations.

  • 4. Framing

    Framing is selected to complement the painting and its surroundings.

  • 5. Installation

    The finished artwork is professionally installed in your home.

What you need to know

1. Do I need to know exactly what I want?

No. Some clients begin with a specific subject or place in mind; others simply know which room or wall they want to address. Concept development is part of the process.

2. Can you work from photographs?

Yes. Commissions may begin with photographs, site visits, plein air studies or other reference material depending on the project.

3. Can you create artwork for several rooms?

Yes. Home Collections allow several paintings to be conceived together while remaining individual works, considering the relationships between rooms, scale, palette and the home as a whole.

4. Do you work outside Florida and Maine?

Yes. Private commissions can be developed for homes throughout the United States.
