Clearing Light captures the moment when the sky begins to open and everything shifts. Soft clouds give way to brightness, and the water reflects that quiet change with subtle movement and lift. It’s a piece that brings a sense of renewal into a space—light returning, steady and expansive.

Discovered At Mainsail

Edye and Madelyn spent hours walking the Mainsail Art Festival, searching for a piece that truly spoke to them. Booth after booth, nothing quite resonated.

My booth was their final stop before heading home.

As they turned the corner and saw the painting, they paused—then lit up.

“Oh my God—that’s it.”

Anne Zimmerman Briand is a contemporary landscape painter known for expressive coastal paintings that capture the movement of water, sky, and changing light. Working both outdoors and in the studio, she develops large-scale paintings inspired by the atmosphere and open horizon of the Gulf Coast.

“I create this work to bring a sense of calm into the spaces we live—work that doesn’t just decorate a wall, but shifts the energy of a room.”
