The Flannigan Home Collection

Artwork Recommendations for Your Minnesota Residence

Greg & Suzanne,

Thank you for inviting me to be part of your new home. After reviewing my notes from our conversations and the photographs of your spaces, I’ve developed a collection designed specifically for the way your home is experienced.

Rather than approaching each room independently, my goal is to create three original paintings that feel connected through palette, atmosphere, and light while allowing each space to have its own distinct character.

Collection Overview:

Before making any recommendations, I considered how each room is experienced—where your eye naturally comes to rest, the architecture of each space, and how the paintings would relate to one another as a collection. The recommendations below are intended to create balance throughout the home while allowing each space to have its own character.

  • Kitchen

    60 × 36 Original Oil Painting

  • Dining Room

    30 × 30 Original Oil Painting

  • Master Bedroom

    48 x 30 Original Oil Painting

Kitchen:

  • Recommended Dimensions: 60 x 36 Inches

As the visual anchor of the collection, the kitchen painting is designed to establish the overall tone for the home while maintaining a comfortable relationship with the surrounding architecture. Viewed from the kitchen, dining, and living areas, it will serve as the collection’s primary focal point while allowing generous breathing room within the space.

A larger statement piece remains an option. My recommendation reflects what I believe is the best balance of scale, composition, and visual harmony while also allowing for more practical packaging and shipping.

Dining Room:

  • Recommended Size: 30 × 30 inches

Positioned between the table lamps, the square format creates a quiet, contemporary focal point. Its proportions provide a pleasing contrast to the long buffet below while maintaining generous space around the artwork.

Bedroom:

  • Recommended Size: 48 × 30 inches

The primary bedroom calls for a quieter visual experience than the gathering spaces. This painting is intended to create a sense of calm at the end of the day while maintaining a relationship with the broader collection through palette, light, and atmosphere.

Collection Vision

While each painting will respond to its individual room, they will be developed together as one cohesive collection.

Rather than depicting the same subject repeatedly, the collection will be unified through a shared sense of place expressed in light, atmosphere, palette, and composition.

Minnesota lakes and shoreline

Changing skies and atmospheric light

A restrained natural palette

A progression from expansive gathering spaces to quiet places of retreat

The result will be three paintings that feel connected throughout the home while allowing each room to have its own personality.

Collection Investment

Artwork Investment
Kitchen $4,800
Dining Room $3,800
Primary Bedroom $4,200

Original Artwork Investment: $12,800

Professional Packaging & Shipping

Estimated: Approximately $1,500

The investment above reflects the original paintings. Should you decide to frame the artwork, I would be happy to recommend and coordinate custom float frames selected specifically for your home. Framing options and pricing can be reviewed together once the paintings are complete.

Commissioning Your Collection

A 50% deposit ($6,400) reserves your project on my studio calendar and begins the design phase.

The remaining balance is due upon completion, prior to professional packaging and shipment.

Thank you again for considering me for this special project. I look forward to creating a collection that reflects both your home and the Minnesota landscape that inspires it.

Warmly,

Anne Zimmerman Briand
